The Discovery Biology Unit seeks an enthusiastic and highly
motivated Specialist to support and further strength the current early
drug discovery programs in the areas of inflammation, ophthalmology and
cancer. The successful candidate will develop and implement a variety of
molecular and cellular techniques with the aim to elucidate mechanisms
of action of proprietary compounds, suggest potential novel indications
and validate therapeutic targets. The candidate is expected to bring
technical and intellectual contribution and to be open to collaborate
with the rest of the team as well as with CROs and external partners.
PRINCIPALI AREE DI RESPONSABILITÀ
Design and perform experiments (hands-on)
Record and present results in an organized and efficient manner
Write internal reports, presentations and scientific papers
Help in keeping the lab well organized and the order system always updated (reagents, services, etc.)
Perform literature search on specific topics
Be part of collaborative projects with the rest of the team and with external partners
Coordinate work with CROs/CDMOs and with Academic Partners
REQUISITI
PhD degree in Life Science or similar
Ability to plan and conduct experiments and to record and analyze data
Strong background in in vitro cellular models
Ability to coordinate work with CRO/CDMO
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
Candidate must be fluent in English
Nice to have:
Proven experience or knowledge of the early drug discovery process
Previous experience in the field of ophthalmology and/or immunology
Demonstrated experience in dissecting intracellular signaling pathways
Experience in drug-receptor interaction studies
Previous experience with CRISPR/Cas9 technology in cells
